At The Reach Co, we use a flexible phone credit system to manage communications costs for calls and text messages. This guide will help you understand how phone credits work.

What Are Phone Credits?

Phone credits are a prepaid system used to pay for the calls and text messages you send and receive through the platform. Instead of fixed pricing plans, credits allow for more control over your church's communication costs.

Phone Credit Costs

Outgoing Calls: Making calls cost $0.0154 per minute. With $10 you can make approximately 650 minutes of calls.

Incoming Calls: Incoming calls cost $0.0094 per minute. With $10, you can receive about 1065 minutes of calls.

Text Messages: Text messages are charged at $0.0087 per segment. A segment is equal to one SMS of 160 characters. $10 allows you to send around 1150 segments. Keep in mind, things like emojis can make segment length shorter.

Managing Your Phone Credits

Log in to your dashboard on a desktop.

Navigate to the Settings menu located in the left sidebar.

Click on Billing within the Settings menu.

Here, you can view your current credit balance and add more credits if needed.

By managing your credits effectively, you can ensure that your church remains within budget while maintaining solid communication with your church and visitors.

During onboarding we will show you how to purchase a number. It's pretty straight forward.

Laws around numbers are always changing (because spammers suck). Presently you have to upload a valid ID to purchase a phone number to use.

After the number is purchase we will be handing its verification for you so carriers don't penalize your number being used.

We can also set up call forwarding to your staff so calls go directly to their phones.

Emails work from the same credit system as phone calls. Each email is $
0.000675. So for $10 you send roughly 14,105 emails.

Premium Triggers & Actions

Using tools like AI, web hooks and so on cost $.0105. So, with $10 you can get about 950 of these triggers/actions.

Email Verification

Email verification helps ensure your email lists stay clean and healthy. Each email is 0.002625 to verify, so you can verify 3,810 emails with just $10.

Other tools such as AI Chat, AI content, and AI review replies are available as well. We find most churches do not have a need for these as they are cost prohibitive, but if you do, feel free to let us know and we can turn them on. 🙂
